Kayani
discusses war against terror, other issues with
Cameron, Karzai

MUNICH, SANA):
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez
Kayani, who is on a visit to Germany met with Prime
Minister of United Kingdom, David Cameron and
President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,
Hamid Karzai and discusses various critical issues
including the war against terrorism.
General Kayani also
met with the senior leadership of the Country and
various other world leaders on the sidelines of
Munich Security Conference.
COAS met Prime
Minister of United Kingdom, David Cameron and
President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,
Hamid Karzai and discussed with them the issues of
mutual interest.
British Prime
Minister David Cameron said that restoration of
peace in Afghanistan is vital for the peace of the
region.
In meeting with the
Afghan President Hamid Karzai both the leaders
during the meeting discussed the joint efforts in
war against terrorism, security and other issues of
mutual interest also came under discussion.
In separate meetings
with German Minster of Defence, Dr. Karl Theodor
Freiher zu Guttenberg, Federal Minister for Foreign
Affairs, Guido Westerwelle and Germany’s Special
Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan,
Ambassador Michael Steiner, he discussed with them
wide range of issues of mutual interest.
