Karachi – Altaf Hussain said this in a live
telephonic address from London on the inauguration
ceremony of a library in the name of Altaf’s elder
brother Nasir Hussain (Shaheed) and nephew Arif
Hussain here on Sunday in the Federal B Area.
The library, according to Altaf Hussain, has been
built in the house of Nasir Hussain and Arif
Hussain. The decision was taken after a long
consultation as to how again this house be utilised
in an effective manner which was vacant since the
last many years.
Altaf said to become super power in the world one
would have to acquire knowledge and if one had a
desire to pass his life in slavery, than choose to
remain illiterate.
He said that the prosperity, development, justice,
equality , tolerance and indulgence was just when
you acquire knowledge and get educated.
He warned that those who do now get education are
always behind and remain in dark, adopting bad
habits like cheating people and involvement in
rampant corruption.
Altaf said knowledge does not see the boundaries of
area and language.
He again said that the manifesto of Muttahida was
the last sermon of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) at
Hajatul Wida.
Altaf said it was his desire that the network of
education and knowledge is spread all over the
world.
Altaf said wherever there would be knowledge and
education there would be tolerance and indulgence
and no policy of vengeance.
He quoted the saying of the prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
that go to China even if you want to learn so this
is a message to become a superpower acquire
education.
He said this library could be made larger house but
MQM made this a huge modern library and did not made
the government schools cattle house as feudal lords
did in their areas.
Altaf said it was his desire that branches of Nasir
Hussain and Arif Hussain Shaheed library should be
spread all over the country.
He requested the teachers and professors to give
their valuable to time to give lectures to students
once every 15 days.
Altaf recalled the tragic story as to how his elder
brother and nephew was murdered in 1995 and no one
bothered to investigate his double brutal murder.
