SHC adjourns hearing of May 12 case

Sindh High Court adjourned the hearing of a petition pertaining to judicial inquiry into May 12 violence and killings during the arrival of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary in Karachi in 2007 on the request of the petitioner.
Petitioner Iqbal Kazmi, who filed several applications, including the re-opening of May 12 violence case, submitted that he has filed a petition in Supreme Court for hearing the May 12 case by calling all case record from Sindh High Court. He prayed the court to adjourn the hearing of the case sine die. SHC’s division bench headed by Justice Maqbool Baqar adjourned the hearing and directed the office to fix the petition after summer vacations.
